How do I add the other person?
The Us tab has an invite section. It gives you a link to send and a six character code to read down the phone. On their device, the same section takes that code. Codes last 24 hours and stop working once used.
Why can I not see their photos?
Days unlocks on both phones. If only one side has bought it, the app says it is waiting rather than quietly doing nothing. Photos you take meanwhile are kept and go out when the other side unlocks.
It says they are asleep and they are not.
Waking hours are set by each of you, not guessed. Open the Us tab, edit that person, and adjust. The sky, the call window and every notification follow from those hours.
Will it wake them in the night?
No. Nothing is delivered while the person receiving it is inside their own sleeping hours. Every notification type is also off until you switch it on.
Do I need an account?
Not to use the app. Set up two cities and everything except pairing works immediately, with no network. Sign in with Apple exists so your setup survives a new phone and so you can pair.
A widget shows the wrong time, or nothing.
Open the app once. Widgets read a snapshot the app writes, and a fresh install has not written one yet. If it persists, remove the widget and add it again.
